Payment terms

Paying by card, ordering on invoice and how credit limits work.

Paying by card

Every approved business account can pay by card. At checkout you choose Card, and you pay on a secure Stripe page. The order is confirmed as soon as the payment goes through.

Ordering on invoice

Accounts on payment terms can choose Invoice at checkout. We confirm the order straight away and send an invoice with a due date of 15, 30 or 60 days after the order date, depending on your terms. You'll find every invoice order and its due date in your account.

Applying for payment terms

New accounts start on card payment. To apply for terms, contact us with your company's trade references and the monthly amount you expect to order. We usually decide within [number] business days.

Credit limits

Each account on terms has a credit limit. Checkout offers invoice payment when the order total plus your unpaid invoices stays within that limit. When an order would go over it, you can pay that order by card, or pay outstanding invoices first.

Paying an invoice

Pay by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice and quote the order number as the reference. [Add any other payment methods you accept.]

Late payment

We may pause invoice ordering for an account with invoices more than [number] days overdue until they're paid.
